News04/12/2017

Amongst the 7 ideas responding to Climate-KIC Greening the Sea Side call for nature based solutions launched by Rimini Municipality, the three winners were awarded yesterday in Rimini after a bootcamp session.

The best ideas were those more in line with the overall vision of Parco del Mare, and those with a largest climate impact.

These are the three winning ideas:

  • Vetiver System, by Luca Marcheselli, proposed Vetiver as engineering plant to restore a natural coastal landscape while improving drainage and soil protection;
  • Laura Solmi with Ground layers combination has designed an integrated solution which combines permeable materials with water storage;
  • De Gayardon Bureau proposed R-ING, a circular canopy provided with steam jet to refresh with reused water the public playground area. Soon the digital catalogue of all presented solutions!
