Cases of success
Some cases of success coming from SMEs who, thanks to the High Technology Network, coordinated by ART-ER, had the opportunity to apply develop new products, find solution to their problems, or simply optimized their production processes applying the results of research and the digital transformation techniques.
QUIX
SME from Modena, realized two prototypes for two different products (Qery and Qform (https://www.quix.it/prodotti/), now on the market), developing and testing them at the Datariver Lab. They found the opportunity to work with Datariver researchers thanks to the High Technology Network laboratory catalogue. The collaboration between QUIX and Datariver was supported and fostered by ART-ER

PolGroup is an etwork of SMEs, committed at realizing products to better quality of life, of work, health and wellbeing. PolGroup takes part to the High Technology Network since its foundation. They have received support to apply to several king of calls for funding, and met researchers from regional, national territory.

Pieri SRL
Pieri is SME from Cesena, and is one of the leaders in the packaging sector in Emilia-Romagna Region.They exploit the knowledge coming from academic research to anticipate the market changes and then develop new products just in time for the market needs. In particular, cooperating with Rinnova Lab , they created a service to reduce environmental impact of packaging. Both Pieri and Rinnova are part of the Hight Technology Network, and their collaboration has been promoted, fosteres and supported by ART-ER.

Medica SpA
Medica SpA is a medium-size enterprise (500 amployees) and operates in the biomedical sector, with a special focus on high-automation and high-precision assembly machines for biomedical machines. MIST E-R lab is partner of Medica for many research projects. They met their needs inside the frame of High Technology Network. One of the most relevant projects is about the development and deployment of an innovative dialysis machine, able to perform its function providing less impact on the patient, making use of innovative membranes for more selective blood analysis.

OPEN FIELDS
Started in 2010, OPEN FIELDS is a Technology Transfer leader in Agri-food industrial sector in Emilia-Romagna. OPEN FIELDS met the SITEIA laboratory via the High Technology Network. Thanks to SITEIA’s facilities and OpenFields market knowledge, they were allowed to develop innovative ingredients for food sector industries, caring of strong environmental and customer’s health constraints.
